We have an enthusiastic and loyal team here at Ant Marketing and we have been celebrating the work anniversaries of a number of our hardworking team members over the past few months.
We sat down with Aaron Hobson, Molly Yorke and Matt Riley who marked their 2nd, 4th and 7th year at the company respectively this July, to find out about their time with us so far and goals for the future…
Hi guys, thanks for talking to us! Tell us about yourself.
Molly: My name is Molly. I’m 26 years old and I’m a Team Manager in the Appointment Setting department
Aaron: I’m Aaron and I’m 25. I’m from Sheffield and a Team Manager at Ant
Matt: I’m Matt, 28 years old and an Ops Manager
Tell us something interesting about yourself!
Molly: I have recently visited the Egyptian pyramids!
Matt: I used to be in the military and have a black belt in karate
Tell us something you love and something you hate.
Molly: I love food and hate balloons!
Aaron: I love comedies, football, boxing, UFC and good formal attire. I dislike messy people and negative attitudes!
Matt: I hate Sonya Jackson from Eastenders – she really puts me about. I don’t know why….
Which phrase do you use more than any other?
Molly:“I’ve broken it”
Matt: “Roger that” or “Let’s square this away”
Do you remember your first day at Ant? How is it different to now?
Aaron: I remember coming onto the calling floor at ANT and just wanting to dominate! It’s different now, as I work to instil that mentality into others, to help my team and our department win!
Matt: My first day at Ant was very exciting but very nerve racking at the same time. I had never worked in a call centre before and assumed that I was the going to be the guy who was always ringing my Nan!
What does your job entail?
Molly: Quite a lot of different tasks! I communicate daily with various clients, and ensure that their needs are met. I also coach advisers to help develop their performance
Aaron: In terms of working with the team, I ensure that we are always striving for better, improving agents skill sets, and hitting sales targets. If not, I help the team to get there
What has been your greatest accomplishment or favourite memory here at Ant?
Matt: My greatest achievement at Ant has to be progressing through the company. I started on the phones with no experience at all, and have been able to develop and work towards my current role
Aaron: My greatest accomplishment has been receiving Team Manager of the Year in 2017!
What do you like most about your job? Are there any parts that you don’t like?
Molly: I enjoy putting together incentives to encourage the team and bring a bit of fun into the department. One thing I do dislike is Mondays…
Aaron: The people that I work with make this job brilliant. There is a lot to learn from people with an abundance of experience, and even from those who have just started their journey at the company
Matt: I thrive on seeing my department succeed, achieving targets and enjoying great rewards! Being a part of further expansion and growth, and creating opportunities for new recruits is one of the real pleasures of my job
What are you hoping to achieve in your coming years at Ant?
Matt: Further progression into Account Management or maybe even seeing Matt Marketing…
Aaron: I’m hoping to continue progressing with Ant, whether this is via a Sales or Operations route. I also hope to end up with a beasty Mercedes one day, like Marius!
Thanks for talking to us guys, and congratulations on your workiversary!
