We are so lucky to have a strong and loyal team at Ant Marketing, built up over the last 29 years. Each month, we pay tribute to the hard working team members who are celebrating significant anniversaries here at Ant.
In June, we have had three major anniversaries, with Campaign Architect Sadif Rashid celebrating his 9th year with the company, Jill Turton, our Credit Controller marking 10 years with us, and Mumbi Ngulube also celebrating his 10th year at Ant.
Mumbi was kind enough to sit down with us to chat about his time with us and explain why he has stayed with us for 10 years…
Hi Mumbi! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Mumbi Ngulube, and I work as a Campaign Architect. I’m age 32, from Sheffield.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself!
I once booked a flight to Denmark just to go to a street food market on Paper Island. They were closing their doors forever, and I couldn’t see it close without getting one of their legendary hot dogs!
Give us something you love and something you dislike…
My favourite movie is an indie gem called “Primer”, and I have a phobia of snakes!
Which phrase do you use more than any other?
The most common phrase uttered in our office is “…is the coffee on?”
Do you remember your first day at Ant? How is it different to now?
I honestly couldn’t remember even if i tried, but working here over the last few years has been some of the fondest times I have had!
What does your day-to-day job entail?
My daily duties involve getting data into into our dialers, setting up campaigns, report building as well as a variety of departmental campaign support – nerdy stuff, basically!
What has been your favourite memory from your time at Ant?
I can’t pick just one favourite moment, but I do remember my least favourite moment… Losing to Dave Ainsley and Simon Hunter’s dad dancing at last years Christmas party!
What do you like best about your job?
My favourite part of my job is the challenge factor. I look at it like a puzzle and i love puzzles! You’re always kept on your feet.
What are you hoping to achieve in your coming years at Ant?
Simple – I’m just striving to do the best I can at my job. There’s a lot to learn and in the 2+ years I have been in my current role I have found that no 2 days are ever the same. There’s always something new to learn, and I’m looking forward to learning!
Thanks for talking to us Mumbi, and congratulations on your workiversary!
