Comprehensive induction and training programme
When people join, they complete an induction through our "Ant Academy", where they are trained on soft and interpersonal skills prior to any specific project knowledge.
The Ant Academy training programme focuses on communication and listening skills, and conflict resolution. It ensures that trainees are fully prepared to communicate with our client’s customers and uphold the highest standards of excellence.

Transitioning into the team
Once initial training is complete, Ant Academy graduates are placed in a graduation bay, a transitional team supported by the Training Managers who have inducted them and the Team Managers who will be working with them on their first project.
A winning formula
The results of Ant Academy have been significant. We’ve seen a 25% increase in staff retention and a 78% increase in early CSAT scores from customers our colleagues have engaged with.


Ongoing training and education - continual improvement and reward
We believe in promoting talent from within, so we continually invest in the ongoing development and training of our staff. All our colleagues are placed on a learning and development roadmap. The roadmap is designed to understand each person’s skills and qualifications. These are considered from both a formal and vocational perspective so as not to disadvantage experience over traditional educational qualifications. The employee’s skills are then aligned with their future goals and ambitions to identify gaps.
We provide additional optional educational courses to all staff, including IT literacy, communication skills, sales improvement and conflict resolution. These courses are aimed at reducing skill gaps in our teams. Colleagues who choose to take part in these sessions are rewarded with training credits which they can put towards incentives within our rewards programme. These rewards include extended breaks, gift cards and additional days of annual leave. The success of our on-going training, education and development programmes have seen 88% of staff take part in at least one additional training course each year.
Mentoring Programme – creating future leaders
For colleagues who have progressed through their L&D Roadmap, we run a mentoring programme to help them progress into senior positions. Our Mentoring Programme sees members of the senior leadership team run mentoring sessions with colleagues working in or wanting to work in their area of the business. New job roles are always posted internally first and our staff are actively encouraged to apply. As such 90% of all senior management roles at Ant are held by staff who initially started as an agent or within entry level roles.
