Corporate social responsibility

Creating Positive Change

CSR is not just a tick box exercise - it's an integral part of who we are, driving us to create positive change.

We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve. Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goes beyond business, reflecting our core values and responsibility to society. We actively support local charities in Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire communities, striving to make a meaningful difference to the lives of those in need. Whether it's through financial contributions, volunteer efforts or partnerships, we believe in giving back to the communities that have shaped us.

Moreover, sustainability is at the forefront of our business practices. We are committed to running our operations in an environmentally responsible manner, minimising our carbon footprint and championing eco-friendly initiatives. We believe that CSR is not just a checkbox - it's an integral part of who we are, driving us to create positive change and contribute to the wellbeing of our local and global communities.

CSR governance framework

We run an accounting framework called The Triple Bottom Line focused on three parts - people, planet and profit. We evaluate our performance based on improving our staff welfare, our environmental impact as well as our profitability. This commitment forms part of our mission statement and the results of our initiatives are feedback to all employees. The Triple Bottom Line forms the core of our corporate social responsibility delivery.

Sustainability – achieving Net Zero

As a business we are committed to achieving Net Zero. A key aspect of our strategy involves transitioning our entire vehicle fleet to electric or plug-in hybrid models, significantly reducing our carbon footprint associated with transportation. We have also installed electric charging points in our car parks, supporting the adoption of electric vehicles among our employees and visitors.
To further illustrate our commitment to reaching Net Zero we have added solar panels to the roofs of our buildings, harnessing clean and renewable energy to power our operations. This not only reduces our reliance on traditional energy sources but also contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly business model.

In line with our waste reduction initiatives, we have recycling bins across our facilities and provide reusable water bottles to staff free of charge, fostering a culture of responsible waste management.

Since our transition to a hybrid office and remote working business we have seen reductions in emissions from cars commuting to our offices.

Collaborating closely with suppliers and partners, we actively seek sustainable solutions in our supply chain, reinforcing our collective effort toward achieving Net Zero by 2050.

Through these comprehensive measures, we aim to set a benchmark for responsible and environmentally conscious business practices.
