Ant Kids: Charity Bake Sale
We had an amazing day last weekend hosting a charity bake sale in aid of Ant Kids, our in-house children’s charity, dedicated to organising events throughout the year for disadvantaged and disabled children across Sheffield. It was fantastic to see the amount of support shown by our local community and donations from local shops. In total, we raised a staggering £450.07 for Ant Kids, which we plan to put towards additional equipment for the children’s homes in Sheffield.
This month, Ant Kids has equipped a special needs unit with a full sensory room, which we hope will delight the children, as well as paying for foster families to enjoy a trip to the sea-side, enabling the children to spend some quality bonding time with their first parents.
Our CEO, Anthony Hinchliffe, whose daughter put the fundraiser together, said: “I am so proud of her – she has put so much thought and effort to help the needy children of Sheffield.
She has contacted the best cafe’s and bakers in Sheffield, who (despite the really difficult trading period for them) have contributed hugely.”
A big thank you to those who donated cakes, buns and other sweet treats to the bake sale to help us raise money for Ant Kids.
