Celebrating March Workiversaries

Following our February workiversaries, we chatted to three long-serving team members about their time at Ant…

We caught up with Mark Windle who is celebrating 13 years with the company in March, as well as John Ashton and Chris Bromiley who have both been with us for 8 years!

Hi guys, can you introduce yourself?

Mark – I’m Mark and I’m the Maintenance Manager here.
John – I’m John and am 45 (but don’t look it), and I’m Assistant Operations Manager.
Chris – Chris, and I’m an Account Executive!

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

Mark – I’m into 1930’s fashion and like to get dressed up for a night out!
Chris– I am a lifelong Blackpool FC fan, probably the only one this side of The Pennines.

Tell us something you love and something you hate.

Chris – I love real ale and Chinese food. I hate being late for anything!
Mark – I love Sheffield United and hate all vegetables (apart from processed peas haha)!
John – Has to be SUFC for me too.

What phrase do you use more than any other?

Mark – ‘Iya luv’.
Chris – ‘that’s the badger’!

Do you remember your first day at Ant? How is it different to now?

John – Yes, I started at Sheaf Quay and had my training in the external building (I had a lot more hair then)!
Mark – I do remember it yes, I honestly love it just as much today as I did then.

What does your job entail?

John – I help run the Appointment Setting department and manage a large number of campaigns.
Chris – My role is to generate opportunities for the sales team and to promote Ant Marketing’s services within key sectors that we target.

What has been your greatest accomplishment or favourite memory at Ant?

Mark – When we had the Christmas party at our CEO’s house and I thanked some new starters for coming; they all thought it was my house and were telling people how nice it was!
Chris – Securing a major appointment and watching it become the key account that it is today!

What do you like best about your job? Is there anything you aren’t so keen on?

John – I love the people.
Mark – My job has a huge amount of variation and freedom, which I love. I dislike very little, but do hate graffiti!

What are you hoping to achieve in your coming years at Ant?

Mark – I’m happy to remain the maintenance king!
Chris – To continue to create opportunities and grow the business.
John – I want to keep developing my career and help those around me do the same.

Thanks for talking to us, and congratulations on your workiversaries!

We’re always on the lookout for enthusiastic and driven people to join our team. If you’d like to join the colony, head over to our vacancies page to take a look at the positions we currently have available.
